Democratic mayoral candidate Michael Blake discussed the pressing issues facing New Yorkers.

Blake says the city needs to end credit scores and median incomes for homeowner applications to give people more options for affordable housing.

He emphasized how childcare expenses are overwhelming to the average New Yorker and the need to increase the average income limits.

Blake talked about how his family overcame homelessness and his plan, “Project 2026,” will tackle crime so everyone can get home safely.

He detailed how addressing economic concerns and the mental health crisis is part of the public safety conversation.

Blake highlighted the closing of Rikers Island and moving forward with opening borough-based jails.

He touted his White House and state House experience. Blake finished the conversation by giving a final pitch to New Yorkers.
